After surprising Clarence with Martial Arts classes at the Aberdojo, Mary gets talked into joining the class herself. She loves the slow-paced lessons in discipline and control, but Clarence just wants to have fun and kick butt.
Clarence is invited to go to the Aberdojo to learn Karate. When his mom (Mary) drops him off, she is also invited to join the class. The next day, Mary and Clarence are dropped off at the Dojo by Chad. When the sensei spots Chad, he asks him if he wants to be enrolled in a class but Chad declines. While the class is doing some tree pose meditation, Chad leaves the dojo. As the days pass, Clarence gets bored of the class. When Mary and Clarence go to the Dojo, Clarence spots a train ride in front of the class. While the class is meditating, Clarence asks Sumo if he wants to go on the train ride. Sumo accepts so Clarence asks if he and Sumo can go to the bathroom. They leave the class with some money and get on the ride. When Mary finds out, she tries to leave to go get the boys but she is told not to so she goes back to meditating. After the meditation session, Mary asks why Clarence left class and Clarence responds saying he's getting bored of the class. At home, Clarence learns that Mary enjoyed the Karate class. After looking at some photos of Mary as a child, he decides to keep going to the Aberdojo. When it's the awards ceremony for the students, Mary goes into a tournament with a jealous student. Mary wins and Clarence runs up to his mom hugging her. After the ceremony, Clarence and Mary leave the Aberdojo.
